Now that she is sleeping, I am trying to sneek in a few mins to put up a post and upload my pics to Flickr. And that is when I realised that I have not blogged (or upload the pics) from our family trip to the Birdpark back in December!
Tix were compliments from my hubb's workplace. Date was 8 Dec 2007. The rainy Sunday morning made us think twice if we should go to the Birdpark. It then simmered down to a drizzle and we decided to give it a try.
Surprisingly, there were quite a lot of visitors there despite the rain.
Nyai with Nurul at the big Xmas tree near the entrance
We first went to the Penguin Expedition. Nurul was big-eyed when the penguins swam near the glass panel.
A family pic with the Penguin family (without mama Penguin's head!)
We saw the "leggy" Flamingo, the Pelicans being fed, but Nurul enjoyed the Bird Show the most.

Paying full attention at the Bird Show
Although we were at the Birdpark, the thing that intrigued me the most was two turtles who were crawling (well one of them, at least) to the end of the cage and then they seemed stucked there for a moment.
The noisiest place have got to be the Lory Loft. There must have been at least a hundred of the birds there. My bro and sis fed the birds. When they held the bowl of bird food in their palm, the birds instinctively came and started feeding from there. Some started to "bite" my bro's arms when the food was finished. But Nurul seemed calm.
The last stop for the day was the tallest manmade waterfall (in asia?).
At the end of the day, I think Nurul is still too small to remember anything from the Birdpark.
