Ok. I am back at it. So many half-done posts. None posted up. The oldest dated back to October! Ish Ish Ish!
************************************************************************

My babysitter (Kakak) wanted to go on a one day trip to Batam yesterday, so I applied for a day leave.

After seeing my hubb off to work, Nurul and I slept on until 9am.

I woke up, bathe, prepared Nurul's breakfast and put the porridge to cook with slow fire on the stove. (yap, she's started on solid food for sometime now)

After feeding Nurul at 9.30am, I let her play awhile while I checked on my BP thread and the street directory for directions to 105 Tampines Road.

You see, I had great plans for the day.

First up is a the Fox Warehouse sale at Tampines Road.

The sale starts at 12pm and I intend to be there slightly after 12pm as I would like to avoid the evening crowd. I am a sucker for warehouse sales. Maybe its the adrenaline rush or that whenever I saw someone wearing the same apparel, I find relish in the fact that most prolly, I bought the it cheaper than her. hehe...Or maybe I am just addicted to the dust in the warehouse, I dont know?

I do not mind burrowing through piles and piles of mangled clothes to find that piece of rare clothing, that "jewel" as I call it. Apparently, I am quite good at it as my "training" started as early as my poly days- when you dont have much to spend but still wants to own a Levis or OP.

Anyway, I bought two pairs of jean/bottoms, two tees and 1 romper for Nurul and for myself, two long sleeve tops and a pair of casual pants for a total of $55!

And all this while, Nurul just sat back in her stroller. Relax jer.

After feeding Nurul in the car, up next is all the way up the Tampines Road to TPE and then exit 5, to Ikea. The day before, I saw on the almost-eaten-up (by Nurul) Ikea Xmas catalog that there is a big children's pillow. And I thought that it would be useful to cushion Nurul's falls now that she's starting to stand up.

So I flipped the the street directory again and went forth. However, Tampines Road is commonly used by big and heavy vehicles. Being flanked by two big heavy vehicles by my side, I got nervous and instead of going straight to the turnabout to join TPE to Pasir Ris, I turned left. So I ended up going back to Sengkang!

For a moment while on the TPE, I was kinda scared that I might have joined the TPE after the Sengkang Exit, (although I was quite sure that the Tampines road entrance to TPE is definately before the Sengkang Exit), which would mean that I might have to travel all the way up to SLE! Hehehe...

You see, it was only my 2nd time on an expressway after I have started driving lah. This despite the fact that my Driving license is dated back to 14 Nov 2005, my windscreens still have the Learner Driver triangular signs. I think they will be stuck there for sometime, at least until I pass my "Husband's driving school".

Anyway, upon reaching Sengkang, I decided that it was too much of a hasle! to turn back to join TPE. So I parked the car at my carpark and cancelled the trip to Ikea. Haha...so much for a great planned day!

If it is any consolation, the petrol was 1/4 tank full and I didnt want to end up stranded in the middle of TPE. Lol!

Then Nurul and I took the NEL to Plaza Singapura. It wasnt exactly Nurul's first time on the NEL but she was still peery eyes and all everytime the door opened at each station.

At Plaza Singapura, we went to one of my favourite shops, Spotlight. I was there to get some potpuri essential oil for the scented pillows wedding favors that I will be making for my Cousin who will be getting married in February.

It had been so long since I was there. There were so many rows of beautiful colorful fabrics.

But if you asked me, Nurul was more excited being there than I was. Strapped in her stroller, she had both her hands stretched out on the left and right to feel whatever fabric she could. I think she will turn out to be like her mommy, a crafty geek. Hehehe...

At the end of the day, we returned home -a Happy and Energetic Nurul and a Tired Mommy.
