I have always wanted to go on the Singapore Flyer but feel that at that price, for 30 mins, is abit too costly. So, when the work place provided me complimentary tix, I jumped up to the opportunity.

I have heard people saying that the best time to go on the ride is at 6.30pm. Not only will you be able to see the day light, but also the night lights and the sunset. It being a Saturday and with the F1 coming up soon, I figured that it would be better to get the tix as early as possible on that same day so that we could get that time slot.

So after dropping off the latest diaper cake at Marine Parade, which by the way have got to be the most fun diaper cake Ive ever done - more on that later, I took the ECP and with the help of a printed map and instructions fr my hubb, I found my way to the Singapore Flyer.

After purchasing the tix, I went home to catch some sleep. I had wanted to reach there a bit earlier so that we could snap some pix at the Yakult Rainforest but all three of us woke up too late that we had just enough time to reach there.

My hubb told me once that he is not too fazed about the Singapore Flyer thingy but the moment that we were there, he was the one who started snapping away with the camera! And that was when he told me that the SD card is FULL! Yikes!

Nurul and Me before getting on the Flyer

I had remembered to charge the battery the night before but had forgotten to empty the SD card! So while the long snaky line heading to the cabins moved, I was busy deleting pixs and videos. *Mental note: Must really remember to transfer those pix to the hard drive before the festives!*

Family photo when we first get into the cabin

Once we got on to the cabin, Nurul, who was so calmly sited in her pram, started whining, asking to be let out. The minute she was released, she went crazy, running here and there in the cabin and for sometime she didnt want to let go of the railings and wanted to climb up the sides of the cabin! What a nightmare! An old Chinese man even commented "Dia kecik tak takut ah, Wa sudah tua banyak takut lah...dudok sini saja"...LOL!

One of the nicer pix taken by me

Running around after Nurul, we didnt get to snap alot of pixs. If Nurul is in the pix, she was always trying to squirm out of our hands! Amongst the highlights of taking that ride that day was that we got to see the F1 track and spectator stand as they light them up for the night. I must say it looks spectacular! That reminds me to stay home this Friday for the live telecast...

Errr...the sunset is behind my hubb's head! And Nurul's face got cut!

The Singapore Skyline

The future IR

30 mins passed by so fast. At the end of the turn, Nurul had somewhat settled down as she drank from her milk bottle. My hubb said that maybe Nurul is an "adrenalin junkie" as she seems to get high only when we are at the highest point of the wheel! Sheesh!

We then had dinner at Mdm Lin's restaurant at the first floor, which btw, is Halal certified. My hubb had Braised Beef Noodle while I had Beef Hor Fun and ended with Sago Gula Melaka and Red Rubbies for me! Puasa2 ni, tulis nama makanan pun perut bole berbunyi...ish..ish..ish

My hubb trying to keep Nurul occupied while I have my dinner!

We ended the night with a quick trip to John Little at Marina Square to grab some Hari Raya clothings for my Hubb.
It was really an unforgetable night, especially on how Nurul reacted. We will now have to think twice if we are planning to bring her to Genting Highlands ...
