I am in my 37th wk today and am considered full-term. If Lil Baby is born anytime after the 37th wk, she is considered developmentally ready to handle life outside the womb.
Been experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions since my 5th month, i think. But the ones that Ive been having lately are much more intense and lasts much longer. My tummy also hardens alot. This sometimes causes me to wake up in the middle of the night.
If anyone ever told you that the sleepless nights starts after the baby is delivered, do not ever believe them! The truth is it starts from the last trimester. Waking up to pee in the middle of the night, is a torture and I often find it difficult to get back to Lala Land.

Oh, and shifting from my right to my left, in my sleep is such a delicate maneuver. Imagine with the big tummy + the back pain, shifting from left to right means moving at 45degrees per turn until you are on your left with "Ouch! Ouch!" in betweens. Kinda like a big whale making a big flip. Well, of course when you are flipping like a whale, the thunderous movements would shake the bed and inturn would wake up dear Hubb. In his sleepy state he would ask "kenapa dear, ok tak?"
Just as I am excited, I think Lil Baby is kind of excited about the BIG DAY too. Her kicks and stretches have turned into wave-like movements, as if she is doing the Kallang Wave in rejoice. And around10pm every night, she would be doing a rhythmic tapping against my tummy with what I believe is her hands, lasting for 5-10mins.
Patience Lil Baby (& mummy) ...20 more days!
