They say that babies change their sleeping habit with each new month.

It is especially true in the case of the Lil Monster.
She who used to sleep more than 15hrs a day, started to be more awake during the day when she turned 2mths.

While this change means lesser time for me to log on to surf the internet or blog hop (therefore my blog being on hiatus for awhile now), it also means that she sleeps longer during the night, sometimes 5-6 hours straight.

Anyway, there were alot of development and changes in her 2nd mth. Which makes me wonder whether I am gonna miss alot once I start work next Monday. Haiz...

SIXTH WEEK
At 6wks, she had just started to coo, and then she began to "converse" with people. My Lil Monster is one friendly fella, she talks to anyone and everyone. She will first start with a coo, then a smile and if you smile or talk back to her, she will start to converse with you.

SEVENTH WEEK
14 June 2007 - Her first check up with the PD
The PD is Dr Lian Wee Bin. A very nice lady. She seemed very experienced and thoughtful. We asked her a lot of questions and she was very helpful.

We were worried that Lil Monster was refluxing alot, sometimes even like the "Exorcist". But While Dr Lian assured us that it is quite normal in young babies, and that it should improve as she ages, she also told us how to position Lil Monster to help lessen the reflux. She also recommended a change of milk brand to Enfalac AR if the positioning doesn't help. Lil Monster is drinking S26 Gold.

Dr Lian then proceeded with the physical examination on Lil Monster. I was so nervous when Lil Monster didnt respond by turning her head to the rattle being shaken. Standing there, I was chanting quietly "Please turn, please turn". I was actually very worried, but then Lil Monster smiled to Dr Lian and started cooing and "talking". Sheesh!!

When finally Lil Monster did turn her head the second time the rattle was shaken, boy, was I glad!!

Before going home, Lil Monster had her 6-in-1 jab and her BCG jab. I was all prepared, armed with a milk bottle incase she would cry her lungs out. But what a surprise, she only cried out when the needle was first poked into her thigh. Other than that, she was well and cooing all the way home. We even went shopping for her car seat at Robinsons and Kiddy Palace. Hahaha! But that night she ran a slight fever. After her bath and milk, we gave her the paracetamol syrup that was prescribed and she slept through out the night. No whinning, no crying. Such a good girl!

Mummy, I just want to sleep...

16 June 2007 - To market, to market to buy fish!
Lil Monster was all well the next morning. So that Saturday, she made her solo trip to the wet market.

As you can see, nothing can stop her from her beauty sleep, not even the noisy wet market.

EIGTH WEEK
24th June 2007 - She turns 3mths!
On the day she turned 3mths, she was all dressed up to go to .... a wedding lunch reception. It was Marina Ramli's sister wedding. She was wide awake at first but all the commotion made her sleepy...hehehe...We then paid a visit to her babysitter's place, which was just a blk away before proceeding home.

Hey! Wats tat? Whoa! Where is tat noise coming from? Oh! This is so exciting!

*Yawn*.....zzzzzz.....

1 July 2007 - All strapped up!
Here she is in her sparkling new car seat.

Hah! Finally, my very own seat. I was starting to worry that I will outgrow it before daddy fixed it....

That night we ate at a very crowded Sakura. It was Alif's farewell dinner before he leaves for China.

Hey! Wait a minute! Why am I not in the centre of the pic?

After dinner, outside Sakura.

Hmmm...now tats more like it....

Uncle Alif n Yours Truly

At 6am the next day, we were at the airport sending Alif off to Shanghai, China for his Industrial Attachment.

Tats Uncle Alif at the far right. He will be back in 6months...Hmmm...Maybe I will surprise him by standing up then.

Stay tuned folks, Part 2 coming rite up....
