Ok, so this is a back-dated post pls bear wif me...
Turning 28 isn't a very happy thing to start with... 2 more yrs to the big 3-0, gosh! My only consolation is my hubb will follow suit turnin 28 few months down the road...haha! Oh and all the discount coupons that I get in the mailer to help ease the numbness...
So on my birthday this year, I decided to take half day leave to splurge and spoil myself crazy. Pityful, half day leave partly coz Ive been taking leave like nobody's bizness twice every month since the start of 2006.
Niwaes, the "splurge and spoil myself crazy" thing started the wk before. Tuesday March 21, we had a hearty dinner at Breeks' cafe in Habourfront. We had Caesar's salad and Waffle Fries for starters. And then I had the Dory fish while my hubb had the Honey Chicken. The coupon was for a free main course with an order of another.
And then, tat Saturday at 1230pm, we were at Seoul Garden at Bugis Junction. The place was packed wif hungry tourists. But it didnt matter to us, we ate to our hearts content. We started out wif some vege, then to meat, seafood, meat, some fries and crackers, meat, more meat, then finally ice-cream. As u can see, I am 'in love with meat'. Its a wonder that my bowels did not throw tantrums. I only managed to snap a few pics of the ice-cream that we had coz we were too preoccupied with chewing and chowing.

The only regret we had was that BJ's Seoul Garden is damn tiny! Where are the Chicken wings? And the meat were all mixed up..chicken wif beef next to each other...v inconsiderate esp for the tourists whom I think were from China and most probly are Buddists. They kept asking me " Excuse me, is tis Chicken or Beef?" I glanced at the labels but what I see is white meat labelled as Black Pepper Beef...Sheesh..
On my birthday, I met up wif my fren Wailing n her bf, Mike. She gave me a treat at Magic Wok, to wch I still owe her a meal. We discussed about possibility of setting up a flea market stall and I passed to her some of her colleague's orders for SimplyLNE. Thanks Yanling for being my "promoter". We went to a shop and secured a deal. Quite a good deal but not sure of the crowd there though. Niwaes, we proceeded to Spotlight and since I get 10% off on my birthday, I got myself some craft supplies amounting up to $80.
OH! YOUVE GOTTA LOVE THE PINK CONDROY WIF TINY FLOWERS, Checked Fabric, Felt pieces, Trimmings, Lace, Faux Pearls and some Cameos which turned out into lovely Victorian style brooches...(will post the pic some day)
Oh, after Yanling left for the day, my spree continued...bought some apparel from Giordano, also courtesy of Birthday discounts, haha!
I ve really gotta stop buying pants, I've got more pants than my Hubb!
Oh and the last thing I got for my birthday is a pair of new spectacles which cost me $600 bucks! The most expensive pair Ive eva bought! But I forsee it being around for a looong time....will be collecting it today...Yipee!
